Happy Hunger Games!

The sixth grade just finished reading The Hunger Games aloud. To celebrate finishing the book before the movie comes out, we had our own version of the games yesterday. Students lined up in a circle, at the blow of the whistle students were set free and wine after each others flags. Students wore two flags, that are often used for flag football. If students lost one, they were “injured” and had to answer comprehension questions to receive medicine from a sponsor. Once losing two flags, they were out and became Gamemakers. Players still in had more challenges thrown at them as the Games went on. Congratulations to winning tributes, Brady Gibson and Jake Topley.
