After a relaxing Christmas break, the 6th grade is back to working hard and learning lots of new things. We are wrapping up our drama study of The Phantom Tollbooth, a comedy about a young man who learns how to “beat boredom.” We learned alongside, Milo, the main character that it is important to use your time wisely. The students wrote hilarous personal narratives about how they “beat boredom” on Christmas break. We are also finishing up our Grammar unit about verbs. Ask your sixth grader to sing you the “Helping Verbs Song!”
In Religion, we are finishing up our study of the Mass and we are working on Saint presentations.
In other news, the kids are already anxiously awaiting their first snow day. As for me, I can stand to wait a few more weeks!
